Amusing attempt at extortion
Discussion
So the wife allegedly came back to her car today to find this on the windscreen:

Note that this is in:
A) A private car park for a shopping center which is
B) Free to park in.
Also note that she didn't allegedly overstay or similar, but apparently the car committed the contravention of obstructing other users (she didn't).
So by my figuring they have lost nothing (Free car park and no one prevented from using it) and they are attempting to extort money by making s
t up that they have no legal right to charge for anyway, so frankly they can go f
k themselves.
A letter will going out to the owners of the shopping center that they are employing the services of those who are putting the frightners on their customers.
Moderator edit: less of the defamatory accusations please.

k off.BUT chances are its because shes not been parked fully in a parking space.
I like the bit that says "It is an offence for an unauthorised person to remove or interfere with this notice" at the top.
I'd love to know what bit of law they were going to rely upon for that.
Anyway.

Anyway.
- 1 Challenge to Parking Company on all the grounds you can think of, including that £50 (or £25) is not a genuine pre-estimate of their loss, including that it's a free carpark.
- 2 Challenge to POPLA (Workflow dynamics are a BPA member so POPLA is the appeals process).
- 3 If it goes to court, ask to have it stayed until after the current Parking Eye vs Beavis appeal.

Allegedly?
You are seriously going to have to do better than that...
As well as sound advice above re: appealing, also write in the third person, eg "the driver drove into the car park" and "the vehicle was parked" and specifically NOT "my wife drove the car into the car park" and "my wife parked the car" for just two examples.
Do not name the driver or suggest you know who they were

None. They have plucked in straight from page 42 of the book entitled 'What Made Up S*** Can We Use This Time?'I'd love to know what bit of law they were going to rely upon for that.
And even if it was legit how would the 'unauthorised person' be identified in order for them to be prosecuted?
The alleged contravention is much too vague. In what way have other users been obstructed?
Furthermore they haven't even had the wit to steal a real code from the Local Authority lists.
In London - http://www.britishparking.co.uk/write/Documents/Co...
Elsewhere - http://www.patrol-uk.info/patrol/info/1/parking/23...
The other hilarious item is Officer ID. Another dressing up in order to make seem like a local authority PCN issued by a CEO. In a private car park in a shopping centre the 'Officer' is more likely to be someone on the minimum wage clad in a cheap workwear uniform. Maybe the employer has even splashed out on a hi-viz as well.

Also, what signage was there and what did it say? Photos thereof might be a good idea.

Did the OPs missus take pictures of the 'crime scene' if not why not?
Yes. Having moved the vehicle into a more fitting position
A more pertinent question might be did 'WDL107' take any...?
