Speeding question
Discussion
Sorry if this has been asked before. Had a discussion today at work and we all had differing opinions. Does a NIP (Gatso 37mph in a 30 zone) check for insurance/tax on the vehicle/driver when the form is sent back identifying the driver and admitting the offence or is it merely a revenue/points/speed awareness course excercise?
Any help/advice appreciated.

Walts like this just make me laugh frankly.
Nobody, and I mean nobody, who has ever served in an organisation such as 22 would ever put the nonsense that this clown has put (and removed) on his profile. At one point, he managed to put down that he was a HALO sniper instructor which was just so hilariously silly that he might as well have added an underwater knife-fighting course as well. This mong can't even get the abbreviations right and nor does he give the right definition of the organisation he claims to have been a part of. There's a certain way of writing unit abbreviations and titles and this clown has got them hopelessly wrong.
To cap it all off, this walt is a cleaner in Norwich. You know, that well-trodden path that SAS soldiers go down once they've left the service.

Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. If the circumstances give rise to the need for a check then they are made. Any help/advice appreciated.
If you are surreptitious in your response then you can be certain that insurance will be checked.
If you are considering nominating a name that is not insured then expect the worst as it may well occur.

I'm not too sure you're an Officer either, certain words you use would indicate otherwise, and of course it would not be appropriate to proclaim to the world that you are one in your profile which is contrary to SyOP regarding social media and the Armed Forces/Services, unless of course you are a LEO then you can be forgiven for obvious reasons.

Think what you like old boy, I know what I am and what I'm not. The walt OP thinks he's something that he never will be. '22Rgt.' Laughable, truly laughable.ETA: I'm retired from the forces now so can within reason say what i like.

Last year I got caught doing 41 in a 30 I had forgotten to tax the car and was a month out, when I hurridly got on line to get tax, I couldn't as the mot had run out 5 months previously !!!! Got my car mot that weekend and got tax, nothing ever came of it luckily, I took the speed awareness course they offered.
^^^^ bit of a random post on this thread that is clearly about question people's integrity and use of abbreviations. Osinjak said:

I do. After that retort i'm 100% sure you are as much a military sham as the OP.
Fill yer boots chap, matters to me not what you think.
I think the highest rank you've achieved in what 6-9 years is Lance Jack, your manners, opening response in this thread mark you out as no more than cannon fodder, cannon fodder who rides a scooter in Chiswick, so my little grunt, why don't you come clean and tell me what rank, Regiment, Division, platoon and section you really are? You are certainly not an officer, as you claim to be, and as i said before no better than the OP for his username.
