Consent Order Clause - Thoughts please
Discussion
Evening PH, looking for some thoughts before I take an issue further....
The following clause is taken from a Divorce Consent Order, and I presume it to mean that appropriate costs ... lets say for a 500£ dental bill for a child would by default be apportioned 5050. Only by providing evidence through something like a means test would either party be able to reduce their percentage contribution. That's my reading anyhow ... There are no other clauses which relate to this topic so it can be taken in isolation
"AND UPON the Petitioner and Respondent agreeing with each other that they will be jointly responsible for any education, training or University costs relating to either child1 or child2 or for any major purchase (for example a bike or laptop) and their contributions will be decided on a case by case basis taking into account their financial circumstances at the relevant time."
Any thoughts appreciated before I look to spending money on this ...
