Hi all,

I would really appreciate some advice on how to proceed with this.

I left a £100 deposit on a car over the phone with my visa debit card to then pick it up later in the week.

I then found out it was missing services when Audi got back to me with detailed history and also didn't have the cambelt and water pump done. This was described as full main dealer history on the advert and when I asked the garage before leaving a deposit I was told nothing was needing done.

I had then emailed them stating I was not going through with the sale and to refund my deposit as the car was not as described but, they are now ignoring my correspondence.

I attempted a charge back with my bank but, was told I need to have something in writing saying the deposit was refundable.

regards

All carried out remotely without vising them? The old Distance Selling Regs gave protection on this, I'd expect the replacement to do likewise.

Write to them, give them until 4pm Friday to refund the monies and tell them absent this you will issue a small claim.

Looks like the dealer has gave in after threatening a charge back and bad review. Result! Thanks for the replies.
