A rather annoying parking fine
Discussion
Hi all,
Just a quick one really. I was wondering If the below company are a reputable one? Is this the sort of parking fine that you can just discard? Or will the debt collectors come and kill me to death?
Company is highview parking who I've never heard of.

You're sunk.
Joking apart, post up on PePiPoo's "private parking forum" including pics of your paperwork - but redact ALL info relating to the car (reg no etc) and yourself as well as dates and times. (I also stringly suggest you do the same to the pics posted in the original post).
Eaily sorted, this, with a little effort - and it's not a 'fine'

Is their claim that you did not pay enough for the period parked correct?
If so they have a valid claim against you.
The issue then is whether or not the amount claimed is reasonable.
There were two car parks. One which was the 'gala bingo' car park. Upon entering there were 3-4 spaces that were not marked, and before the entrance to the actual gala car park itself. If so they have a valid claim against you.

So technically speaking I didn't actually park in the car park they've accused me of.

There is the arch you see in the picture which is obviously the entrance/exit. But what you can't see is that when you go under the first arch is that there are spaces on the left (only about 4-5) which is where I parked. Further on past these spaces there is another arch which you pass under to which I presumed was the actual gala bingo car park. Just before the second arch is where it says 'welcome to gala bingo' and all that jazz. It also gives you all the parking information. But I am parked before all of that.
I'll happily pay the fine if I'm in the wrong, (I probably am) I just thought there was no harm in asking.

So being the devils advocate (or a perhaps a County Court judge) , who do you think that land belonged to and why do you think you could park there?
