Brilliant case from our cousins in Canada

Well to do Canadian couple sue their neighbours for parking outside their house. And letting their dog pee on their bush. And generally looking at their house too much.
For some reason I can't quite fathom, the judge thinks that there are better ways he couldbe spending his time. His judgement is fine reading anyway.

In my view, the parties do not need a judge; what they need is a rather stern kindergarten teacher. I say this with the greatest of respect, as both the Plaintiffs and the Defendants are educated professionals who are successful in their work lives and are otherwise productive members of the community. Despite their many advantages in life, however, they are acting like children. And now that the matter has taken up an entire day in what is already a crowded motions court, they are doing so at the taxpayer’s expense.
As well as being entertaining in its own right, the last two paragraphs shoul perhaps serve as a warning to those who would reach for their lawyers over every trifling annoyance that they suffer.matchmaker said:
That is, without a doubt, the best judgement I have ever read!

The Canadian judicial system also had some fun with one Dennis Larry Meads and his Freeman of the Land nonsense

Fantastic! I was going to post up my favourite quote, but it kept getting better and better!
Interesting to note this type of judgement is permitted in Canada, whereas our legal press lost its mind when Lord Wilson used an exclamation mark...
