If there was no tax/MOT it would have been a full house!

Long, very long ban and a mahoosive fine.

17-22m or 36-46m if second drink drive offence within 10 years. No separate penalty for speeding / no insurance. 25% reduction of ban after drink drive course. Fine band C, prosecution costs, victim surcharge, patronising lecture.

I expect his quote to insure a brand spanking mclaren P1 from the day that his ban ends might be a touch eye watering too

If he's enough of a to drive at twice over the drink drive limit, without insurance as a bonus, then I doubt he's going to stop driving even if he is handed a ban and a fine banghead

He will stop, lack of insurance, because for some ridiculous reason he took his mothers car, instead of his own !

Such people should do the decent thing and renounce their license voluntarily. Occasionally it has been done and the courts can facilitate it for you.

Oh, come off it. As if none of you have ever driven a car at twice the speed limit after slightly too much wine. Give the lad a slap on the wrist and let him move on.

You're more confident than others would be in saying that. Considering how many people get pulled for lack of insurance on a regular basis, I'd say whatever ban he gets sadly wont stop him driving banghead

As an alternative defence, I suppose he could always claim his drink had been spiked while he was out and he cant remember what happened, what he drank, etc, like the other bellend on here tried to recently rolleyes

No doubt he'll be bragging on FaceAche shortly laughing it off as an epic night out, mega lols, YOLO, etc.

Actually no, will not be bragging, knows he has been a prat, obviously will lose his job etc.
Question was really how long the ban was likely to be / fine etc, afraid am not sure what YOLO means, far too old for that !

20 months reduced to 15 if he attends a drink awareness course.

£1000 fine,1 year in prison and when he gets out 5 year ban would be fair.

If he is employed and earning well at least two years in jail. Unemployed, no hope waster 12 month ban and £500 with 17 years to pay it back.

Should be lengthy ban followed by extended retest plus alcohol awarness
