Hey all,
Received a parking ticket couple of weeks back for not displaying a valid ticket. Ticket was being displayed so appealed however appeal has been rejected because ticket was bought in a different part of the city where a different tariff exists. Tariff at place of fine is £3 per hour and the place I bought my ticket is £2 per hour. I assumed the ticket would be valid, the 2 locations are about half a mile away from each other - same council etc. There is no signage to say where the ticket must be purchased, just that a pay and display must be shown.
Any point taking it further or was I wrong and should just pay up.
PS I didn't buy the ticket with the intention of using it in the more expensive area, I used 2 hours of it in the place I bought it then 1 hour in the more expensive area.
