Received a Parking charge notice from a parking company for a hotel car park I recently visited.
The car park had a ticket machine I did pay the correct fee and then put my reg number in then displayed ticket.

This was 6weeks ago I now no longer have the pay and display ticket but I do have the penalty/fine.

I categorically did pay and have visited the same car park multiple times and have never had any issues. How will this pan out ? Should I just pay the fine?

Visit PePiPoo, get a logon then make a new post on their "Private Parking Tickets and Clamping" form (as per your original post but with more info - a scan of any paperwork but with the details redacted would be good wink ) and see what comes back wink .

Hint: with a bit of effort, you won't be paying anythingsmile - but most give in to the 'letters' and pay the unsolicited demands from these 'people' frown .

PS Before anyone mentions Beavis... He has appealed to the Supreme Court as of today (so the status quo in these matters remains [in simple terms] - for now, anyway wink ).

Seething from getting a ticket, I pulled up on the right side of a 1 way street on my scooter, nipped in shop for 1 min, came back and the $$$$$ was there with a smile on her face.

She gave me the ticket for being there 1 minute, I asked if she has any evidence of this and she said no, doesn't need it? She then proceeded to take a picture of me on the bike, what are my rights?

Do I just pay the £35

POPLA have agreed to stay appeals until after the supreme court hearing too - http://www.popla.org.uk/ParkingEyeLimited-v-Beavis...

This could cause a huge backlog, and cashflow problems for the parking sharks. Shame.

Well yes you just admitted on here you parked up and went into the shop. Whether it was for 1 min or not is irrelevant. You still parked knowing that you shouldn't have.

But it was for only one minute, allegedly.

I'm not denying I was wrong, but just asking about the fact I was 1 minute and that they have no proof that I was parked there, but took a picture of me whilst I was on the bike.
As for tosser's remark the ticket actually states 1 minute.

The proof is now online as you have just publicly stated you parked up and went into the shops. Accept you were in the wrong and pay up and don't park there in future.

Ask if they read the DCLG press release
https://www.gov.uk/government/news/government-deli...
and ask if they think their staffs action was done in direct contravention of the ministers wishes.

Over-zealous parking enforcement undermines our town centres and costs councils more in the long-term. Our measures not only bring big benefits for high streets, motorists and local authorities - they put common sense back into parking.
Transport Secretary Patrick McLoughlin said:
Helping local businesses thrive is a key part of our long-term economic plan. These measures will deliver a fairer deal for motorists and help boost the high street by ensuring that parking enforcement is proportionate, while also protecting school children and keeping key routes and bus lanes clear
