Do cameras flash on the m1

They seem to have been testing the new HADECS 3 cameras on the M1 between J25 and J28 sporadically over the past couple of months, one was flashing like crazy last week without any of the variable speed boards lit up and I'm pretty sure no-one was even exceeding NSL at the time. I always make sure I'm not exceeding NSL (not that I ever do that anyway ) when I go past the HADECS 3 gantries just in case.

A colleague got flashed by one going around 75 over a month ago, no NIP so I presume that you won't hear anything.

Yes - the managed motorways section between 28 & 25 most definitely flashes.

Seen it dozens of time.

I see the ones between J6-J13 flash on a daily basis

hadecs and gatso flash. hadecs on the southern section of the M1 used to be frantic, but less so now. Testing? Calibration?

Outside of the roadworks which are SPECS all of the cameras flash on the managed sections (when a limit is set) including HADECS junction 27-28 which are reported to zap you at 79mph and over.

I had one flash at me almost 3 weeks ago (indicated ~85ish). Heard nothing (my car, correct address on v5 etc) so think it's still "testing" and I'm in the clear.

There's a HADEC's 3 on the M1 Northbound between J12 and J13 that I see flash nearly every day.

one of the camera`s northbound between 11 and 12 was flashing like a light house yesterday morning, i saw it as i was going southbound when i got on at 12 !

They seem to be peak time only - I've been through at good 3 figure speeds and never received anything!

I'm not sure any action will be taken if the 'smart motorways' aren't displaying a speed.
