It was posted on 26th. The 13th day.
The law requires that a NIP be served within 14 days, not sent within 14 days. In the case of 1st class post a NIP is presumed to have been served 2 working days after it was posted unless the contrary is proved. If the OP can show the NIP was posted on the 13th day then he may be able to show it wasn't served in time. Cat

I should have said that he 14 day rule only applies to the initial NIP to the RK. If you are not on the V5 or the car has recently changed hands the late receipt by you may not be relevant. Cat

Thanks HR. Surprised of the first two to 86. So you can avoid points all the way up to 86
They don't have to offer you the course. It just means you are eligible. Also, you can only go on the course once. If caught again, it's points & fine 79 to 96. 96+ will be higher fine and more points at court. Jonny TVR said:
I also thought that from 90 to 99 it was 6 points
I think it used to be 4-5 points at that speed many years ago, as I once got 5 points for 93 in a NSL dual carriageway. Now days with the 3 points, it's best to keep below 79 to avoid points,
or don't go above 95 to get best value from your possible 3 points.

Thanks HR. Based on this will have a total of 9 points so will have to keen to the 70 to 79 bracket for the next few years!A driver can only go on a SAC once every three years as a rule.
There is an exception, though, with Wiltshire (IIRC?) being outside the "national scheme" so you could 'plan' to do an SAC there once every three years as well as having the option of one every three years (if you don't go too fast
) elsewhere in England & Wales
