Passengers drinking alcohol in a minibus?

Assuming this is legal? We're off on a stag do this weekend and I'm driver. Just want to make sure if they crack a few beers open its legal.

I'm only planning on having a few that night and we're having breakfast down there the next day.

Ditch the minibus and put them in the back of an Ivor Williams livestock trailer if they want to go on the piss while traveling. At least you won't hear them and they can pressure wash it out afterwards.

As long as you're not driving to a sporting event it's not illegal
But you may also be driving through areas where drinking in public is restricted by bye-laws.

My main concerns would be

"Can I trust the mob not to do something stupid"
and
"Can I stop them drinking even if I say no"

Passengers can do anything they want. Except shag a sheep, of course, everyone knows that (except in Wales).

I'll lay some rules, I'm hiring and driving the bus so without me they're buggered.

We're only going an hour away, but leaving at 5pm so pretty late in the day for a stag do.
