Parking Ticket UKPC
Discussion
Just got back to the car and have a parking ticket from UKPC
Was parked in a disabled bay as the wife is recovering from major knee surgery and is currently signed off work for 2 months.
There was no other spaces apart from the disabled spaces, so i used one without a blue badge as i dont think they hand these out for temporary disabilities.
The wife has crutches and we have a borrowed wheelchair so its not a fake injury.
we got back to the car after 10 mins of being parked and found the ticket, i guess i cant ignore it now but the supposedly attendant must have seen us get out of the car and my wife into a wheel chair
should i contact them to appeal or go down the forums route to get help?

The blue badge scheme does not apply on private land.
This (non legally binding) arbitration case, however, suggests it does

So you may be on a hiding to nothing trying to 'appeal' here.

Yes, register with Pepipoo as tell the truth, there are some extremely helpful people on that site.
Not paying a penny isn't strictly true.... They could issue a small claims against you, and this can get out of hand
I believe UKPC have had their access to the DVLA suspended.

I think small claims by UKPC is very rare. Whatever you do DO NOT contact them at all. If the papers story is true, keep all paperwork, and dates, and if they do contact you as the registered keeper, get back to the DVLA and complain. Again get onto pepipoo and get their advice, it is free and 99.99% accurate. As i said tell the whole truth do as they tell you, they evemn give you templates to use, and you will win with them.
