Let me be clear, I am not saying that I was not speeding. I am a little miffed of the circumstances, but hey that's life.

The road name is misspelt on the conditional offer, so is it a pure admin error under the slip rule and take your 3 points sonny, or is there a technicality here?

I would normally be happy to accept the points, it was purely the circumstances of it that has made me want to defend this if at all possible.

Won't make a difference if it's spelt wrong.

You have 2 options;

1 - Accept you were speeding, take the ticket, pay the fine, suck up the points and move on.

2 - Plead not guilty. However, if your only defence is that the road name is spelt incorrectly it is not a defence. The road name will simply be amended at court.

I got done once for speeding at 66mph in a 70mph zone, the slip was accepted as a typo as they meant 96 but had fat fingers. I knew it, everyone involved knew it was a typo, that's just the way it works.

There was a law student called Rex
Who had very small organs of sex
When charged with exposure
He replied with composure
De minimis non curat lex.
