Speed Camera Flashed Other Side - A1 Borders
Discussion
Heading south on the A1 yesterday approaching on a single carriageway approaching Berwick and went passed a grey gatso camera that flashed on the other side of the road,
I was doing about 70 in a 60, but the camera was facing me, was grey on my side and I'm pretty sure there were no lines on my side of the road. There was nothing northbound to trigger it and a car went through the camera southbound at about the same speed just before me and didn't trip it. I think it went off before I was parallel with the markings on the other side.
Am I right in thinking Gatso cameras cant be used for forward facing and can't be grey?
Help appreciated

Gatsos are only type approved for rear facing capture. Happened to me also in a similar location. You'll be fine.
As an aside, I was pleased to note that they've taken down quite a few of the Gatsos in and around there. Was exceptionally frustrating to be stuck behind slower traffic and find a Gatso on the only decent straights for overtaking.
