Mum saw a product in a catalogue about a month ago for £12.95. Did not buy said product but got another catalogue from the same company again yesterday, same item in there for same price so decided to order.
When she rang them she was told sorry, error, it is actually £29.95.
Total stab in the dark but is there any legal standing for having to sell for the price advertised?
I am only asking on her behalf, I personally could not give a st!hehe

no - common question
advertised price is an offer to treat, not a contract offer, i.e. an invitation for you to offer to buy it...
company can change it at any time until they accept your money - e.g. at the till in a shop, or on dispatch of goods by mail order

Check if it is available online at that price and just buy it.
