I purchased goods on the 30th Nov 2015. I was sent the wrong size so I returned the goods on the 14th December.

The retailer confirmed on the 30th December that they had received the returned goods on the 20th December and they were processing a refund for me.

It's now the 6th of January and I still have not had my refund.

Does anybody know, according to the Consumer Rights Act 2015, how long the retailer is allowed to wait before completing my refund? I can't seem to find the answer to this specific query about refund time online.

I'm getting really fed up with waiting on them to sort this out.

Not really along time, is it? particularly as we have had Christmas and New Year. After all it took you two weeks to return the goods, but you feel two weeks for them to refund you is too long?

Have you contacted them to ask?

They will certainly be very busy with returns after Christmas.

Yes, their answer was "we don't know how long it will take". What sort of a st business would provide an answer like that? They're obviously not very well organised and their Trustpilot reviews are testament to this. I won't be ordering from them again that's for sure!

I'd still like to find out what the law is around refund timing though.

It's £500 I need to spend on something else so it's a long time for me.

Then maybe you could have helped yourself by returning the goods sooner.

This says 14 days from when the retailer acknowledge the consumer is entitled to a refund.

If the seller confirmed they were processing a refund on 30th Dec, assuming it's a card payment, then they can take up to 7 working days to show on your account (not sure why credit card refunds take so long to show). With the BH weekend that's Monday 11th.

How do you know when the goods arrived at the delivery address after I placed my order?

That's it, the answer I was looking for! Thanks.
