I am trying to sort out my renewal but i am the main driver/policy holder. My other half had a fault crash in aug 15 and our car was a loss. I claimed as it was my policy.

When doing online app do I need to declare the claim under my driver details as I claimed and my bonus was reduced. Since she was the driver do i declare under her as well?

The renewal quotation form will almost certainly have a question along the lines of "Have you had any claims, accidents or losses regardless of fault in the last 5 years?"

The question might appear once and ask about the policyholder or any of the named drivers or it might be asked seperately about each individual driver.

Either way if the question is asked in relation to you the answer is yes because you've had a claim. If the question is asked in relation to you GF the answer is yes again because she has had an accident. If it refers to any driver on the policy again it is yes because you've had a claim and she has had an accident.

If both drivers are still to be on the policy, then declare it under her. If she is no longer on the policy, then declare it under you. And then call them and explain that it was a claim on your insurance by a driver who is no longer on the policy.

It's not a difficult concept, you answer the question asked truthfully. If that means you have to answer yes in relation to you having a claim and her having an accident even though it is one incident that is what you have to do.

You're right, it's not a difficult concept. In fact it's blindingly obvious.
