Local numpty driving like an idiot advice.
Discussion
Across the road from me there's some chump who drives like a right c*ck in his little 100bhp Mercedes A class diesel. Mummy and Daddy bought him the house and the car, he's about 19 / 20. As it doesn't have much power it goes everywhere at full revs. We live on a normal housing estate area, houses everywhere, cars parked everywhere, kids playing out on bikes etc.Whilst i don't speed camera, i can see he's driving quicker than the law states.
I've had a polite word with him once about his speed on the road through the estate and he tried to fob me off saying it was another car that "lives up the road" (not the car, the driver i assume he meant!) . I told him not to be stupid as i'd clocked his reg a load of times. Another neighbour has had a word too.
Today my other half was driving back from the shops and gets to a give way on our estate where you turn right towards where we live. Not wanting to wait whilst she give way (he followed her in to the estate ) he overtook her on the wrong side of the road of the give way and cut down the inside and sped off obviously in a hurry to get home to play with his lego.
She knocked on the door and he said it wasn't him driving and said it was a mate. Regardless and based on past history the car is being driven erratically and irresponsibly.
I've spoke to the police once and nothing was done. My fear is some poor so and so gets squashed or a RTA. I couldn't care less about him, he's a waste of space. I'd obviously care about the poor paramedic who had to work on him once he gets cuts out of the car, but overall he's a dick.
Police again?

Interested in where this goes and process. Have the same problem on our estate with a soft top Audi 4.2 v8. Obviously sounds lovely with a bit of beans - but the beans are being given in a 50-60 metre stretch of road. Well over the speed limit (20mph). Video him driving like a t
t, give the footage to the police suggesting an s.59, if they don't follow up i would then put a complaint in against the officers.
Option b if it hasn't already crossed your mind you aren't the type of person to administer it.
Probably easier to just post on YouTube eventually with a caption about 'police inaction' they may call round then for 'the evidence'

Report him via the Crimestoppers website if you tire of/don't wish to speak to the police.
You don't have to give your details - the online form takes a few minutes to fill.
No idea if this is effective but at least you will feel like you are doing something, and it might just go somewhere useful.

It seems there is a sliding scale of response available to you
1. Film it and report to plod/you tube
2. Frozen sausages etc.
3. Slash his tyres until his father takes away his t.bird
4. Set fire to his car/dog/cat/girlfriend
5. kill him and bury him in a cold lonely grave high on a windswept moor
6. My personal favourite Take his Girlfriend up the Oxo tower film it and post it on his Facebook page
How far do you want to go?

Had a similar prob where we used to live - guy would regularly drive down 30mph road at easy 60mph, plod just criticised locals, saying "we haven't got time to wait to catch him etc" also when we called we were sent to a call centre 50 miles away that knew nothing of the area. Their stock answer was, "call us when he's doing it" which we tried, and of course they said nobody was available for 40 mins, as it wasn't an emergency. It became an emergency when the car crashed at the slight bend in the road, taking out the garden wall and half the wall of the bungalow bedroom (luckily nobody in room). Miscreant was prevented in his attempt to escape by a quick-acting neighbour. Result- taken to court for negligent driving, no insurance etc, but very little penalty because he was a serviceman. That's ok then. Sorry but the locals were the bad people.
