Red light camera
Discussion
Evening all.
Potentially a bad start to the weekend... Coming home tonight along Holloway Road in north London I seem to have got flashed by a red light camera.
The lights for the left turn lane were red. The lights for straight on traffic were green. I was going straight on and it flashed as I went through.
Glancing at my speed as it flashed it was certainly showing 30…
This camera was flashing wildly yesterday. Does anyone know if it is faulty? If not its squeaky bum time for the next 6 months.
I'll be pretty hacked off if I get done for something. At the next set of lights a micra went through after they had been red for a good couple of seconds and the camera didn't go off!
Have attempted to post a link of the location below...

The A1 / Holloway Road is a 30 limit. I ride to and from work along there 5 days a week and there's repeaters along it to say it's 30 and the reversable gatso 200m back down the road and 400m up the road is set to 30 otherwise I'd have been done 100 times already so I'm 99.9% sure I wasn't speeding. As I say when it flashed I looked at the speedo and it was at 30. Applying the 10%+2 rule the camera shouldn't even flash unless I am doing 35. Unless that rules a load of boolaks.
I dunno. Just crossing my fingers now.

I'm no legal eagle, but since it's 1.30am and you apparently can't sleep...
It's not 6 months of suffering from a squeaky bottom. They have 14 days (starting the day after the alleged offence) to supply you with a NIP. As it is, however, you state you (1) went ahead on a green light and (2) weren't speeding. So, what's to worry about?
I'm sure someone else suitablysanctimonious qualified will be along soon.
