Discussion
To my uninformed eyes, it looks like they are not only parked on their own driveway, but also across the pavement.............and this will be what the ticket has been issued for.

Their car is on the pavement because their ''driveway'' isn't big enough.
Agreed. They need a smaller car, a bigger drive, or park sideways. The path is not part of their drive.''However, despite putting the vehicle as tight to the wall as it could get, the car was still issued with a £35 fine – which will rise to £70 if not paid within 14 days.''

"We are going to try and contest it because I have always been told as long as I am not over the yellow line, there isn't a problem."
They obviously haven't been told by a pedestrian who has to stop walking on the footpath and start walking on the road to get past the blockage their car is causing then.

This does seem odd, although I can see why even owning the land, the council "consider it" public. He should've spent the £10k on a wall and gate.
