Council Tax, where do I live?

Bit of a funny one.

If I own 3 houses, 2 houses in the same city and 1 house in another council's area I register & pay council tax on all 3 according to the council where do I live in their numbers/statistics.

If two of 'em are rented out, then the tenants pay.

If any of 'em are empty, the council are likely to not just charge you, but surcharge you.

More likely these days the council will be looking for reasons to buy them ,or find reasons to ask you to repair them(with a nice loan from them ,of course).

Councils have no money for that sort of malarkey. In my area an empty house is full council tax.
