I got told off!
Discussion
Nothing major just a letter from the MID telling me of for not being insured. Actually I was insured but I'd totally forgotten to tell the insurance I'd swapped the number plate over. Understandably the new reg wouldn't come up with a policy against it so my own fault, called insurers, £26 of admin later and all sorted.
Only thing I was wondering is that I'd put my new registration into my account for the Dartford tolls and then within a few days got a letter from the MID telling me I wasn't insured. Now the car hasn't moved since putting the plate on as I'm waiting to service it but I wondered if me putting in the details on the Dartford toll site triggered that?
Do they cross reference that or is it purely coincidence? Bearing in mind they can't even sign post the Dartford toll in a clear manner I'm surprised their site does anything more than take your money but I was just intrigued.
