Witnessed accident with fault driver 'away' in London
Discussion
Apologies for the title but thought I may be able to help someone out. It was about a month ago here: 51.521677, -0.159709 (Long and Lat for Google maps - Marylebone Road/Glocester Place).
In short what looked like an old silver Mercedes was heading westbound on Marylebone Road and jumped the lights. We were heading north on Glocester Place and were held by lights. A BMW e39 5 series pulled away on the green light and hit the Mercedes n/s/f. The Turkish/ME/dark looking driver in the Mercedes decided to drive off north and then cut west to Dorset Sq and then parallel north on side roads. The BMW gave pursuit.
It was like something out of 'Bullitt'. Hopefully the BMW caught the dodgy git. How you can jump the lights that late at such a big junction is beyond me.
Anyway just in case the BMW driver is on here and needs a witness.
Pip

Red light jumping seems to be getting worse to my eyes; I'm seeing it far more frequently. I don't mean the cheeky dash to beat the Amber that is a second late; I mean I've seen people just completely ignore the lights and go through 5 seconds after they change to red.
Some real idiots on the road.
