I rent a property with several large trees in the back that are pretty unruly and require a fair bit of chopping to get to sensible height/size again. The back of my garden ends at a large pond that runs along the backs of several houses and just in the pond is another tree that could ideally due with a good prune.

Is there somewhere I can access property boundary plans free to get an idea who's land the tree may be in (apart from the ponds !) ? I've already check and there are no TPO's on them, and land lord will be consulted first. Just getting costs first and could do with knowing which of the several people I need to speak to about the random tree in the pond before I go any further.

Regards.

a picture speaks a thousand words I guess..

This is the map from ashford borough council showing the tree I'm referring too. It looks like it 'could' be in number 19's boundary ?

Rough google map showing trees along my boundary and random tree just outside mine which would look rather daft if not trimmed at the same time as mine.

Yellow is the pond
Purple is my boundary
Red is MY trees
Blue is the tree in question.

Land registry website allows you to view legal tiles and title plans that show boundary's. Mapsearch is a good tool

Thank you.

Just had tree surgeon out and the random tree is no longer an issue. Its a willow tree in the pond and he strongly advises leaving it as that one tree will turn into 2 or 3 after a good chop back. Looking at it again, its the ones I can cut back that are causing the main obstruction from the sun.

Many thanks.
