A question for the legal eagles, regarding something which puzzles me.

Is PtCoJ a two way street? Are the instigator and the pervertor equally guilty?

http://www.stokesentinel.co.uk/Jail-speeding-cop-l...

The person in this case elicited the help of his father in dodging a speeding ticket, but they have two completely differing sentences - four months jail for the instigator, and six months but suspended) for the partner in crime.

Is the suspended sentence regarded as a let off, in view of his unblemished driving record, and if not, why two months longer than the instigator, who in addition should really have known better?

Chris Huhne and Vicky Pryce got equal sentences in a similar case, so how is blame apportioned differently in some cases?

position of trust = harsher sentence.

hence judge, policeman and whats his face getting harsher treatment than a retired person.

But the retired person got 2 more months - albeit suspended, while Vicky Pryce got to serve hers!

confused

Seems to be luck of the draw in the other cases I have been able to find, with a similar lack of consistency between cases and circumstances.

I wonder if Craig Milner inhabits PH, with his driving record, or perhaps he should have done before he considered swapping points!

I know it's not the point - but he doesn't help himself does he?

Up to 9 points, speeds again so has his dad take the wrap to avoid a ban, and is rumbled for this when caught speeding AGAIN.

He should have tried wearing slippers while driving instead of heavy boots! smile

It says he had not informed his employers of his earlier points... is that a must?

I always thought the 500 was 60mph. I'm sure it used to be. Must have been reduced for some reason like the 34 has...
