M621 camera question

I was heading out of Leeds on the M621 towards M62 Manchester direction yesterday morning.

As I went under a bridge over the motorway, there was a tall thin camera on a white pole. Not seen one like it before.

Is it likely to be a speed camera? Or just traffic flow, monitoring, ANPR etc.

Hoping it was the latter, wasn't going nuts, but think I may have been on the wrong side of the 50 marker on my speedo!

As far as I was aware there aren't any speed cameras on the M621. Probably some form of traffic monitoring

LOL - no this was definitely a camera - centre bridge pointing down at the carriageway.

Looks like monitoring rather than speed phew!

There's a traffic survey being conducted in leeds at the moment, at least a dozen small cameras on meadow Lane heading towards the m621 and on the surrounding roads, I presume they have more in other locations heading out of town.
