Looking for some consumer rights advice.

I've been wating for my phone to be repaired (under warranty) for over 30 days now. The reason it's taking so long is because the phone manufacturer does not have any spare screens available.

To make matters worse, the customer service is pretty crap.

The retailer must have the oppurtunity to "repair the products within a reasonable time and free of charge".

I would consider 30 days to be a reasonable timeframe.

Would I be entitled to ask for a replacement?

When did you buy the phone? Legislation may trump the warranty, or be timed out.

Did you return the phone directly to the manufacturer or did you return it to the point of purchase (assuming they're both different)

I bought it directly from the manufacturer, which I regret now!

I sent it to the repair company on their instruction.

My daughter broke the screen on her IPhone 5s. As it was my daughters I had it insured. Popped it into Vodafone a week ago last Monday, told it would be a week or so. Got a text it was back, popped in last Monday and collected a brand new phone. They replaced it as fixing it was going to take too long.

It might be worth speaking to the manufacturer via Twitter or other social media. Usually gets a prompt response as they don't like negative PR

I'm going for Wileyfox. Broke the screen on mine the other day, gone back to a 5S.

Because I like having a battery that lasts more than 6 hours, and not overly impressed.

I didn't believe in this until a few months ago. I've experienced a few companies that don't respond at all to customer service emails, but one message on their facebook page and everything is sorted within minutes! It must be a new policy that positive customer service should only be conducted in public.
