Do you report dangerous drivers or know where it can be done / best way to go about it?

Just travelling home with my family and some ahole in a Merc A200 slaloming in and out of traffic towards a red light undertook my car - completely reckless

This guy is a danger, in the fog, and someone official needs to have a word before he kills someone

police can be done for DD too. OP do you have dashcam evidence.

you can contact the police locally, or if they were very bad ring 999, which i did once on a driver.

Nope. Mind your business, let him get out of your hair and carry on with your journey as normal. If you want to police the roads join the police force. Too many "grasses" about these days. And don't even bother with the "what if it were your son/daughter/mum/dad" BS.

This.

I'm sure there are people in their Honda Jazz's that think my driving is "dangerous" and I'd rather they didn't report me.

Call 101 to make a report if you think merits it.

If there was space for him to overtake you on the left then surely you were in the wrong lane.

Report by calling 101. The number of complete cretins on the road seems to be growing, possibly due to the fact that there are fewer TrafPol around.

don't know the police never got back to me but i called them due to witnessing a fatal and trying to make sure i never see one again.

i will grass, snitch etc if it is proper dangerous, as i unlike other on here have true integrity. I have witnessed a DD driver have a head on crash and die. he paid his price with his life, luckily the other driver was unscathed due to have a very safe car(volvo), but any other car they would be most likely be dead.

if i can save someone from injury i would have no qualms of reporting DD. i wouldn't report lesser stuff, just stuff that could cause imminent death or injury.

If you have dashcam footage to support your opinion of 'dangerous driving' you could consider reporting it. Bear in mind that what you think is 'dangerous driving' may not be what others think.
If you don't have dashcam footage to support your allegations then I would suggest you are wasting your time.

Presumably then you never exceed the speed limit or break any other road traffic laws in order for you to self-appoint yourself as judge and jury in deciding which laws are acceptable to ignore?

Do you include witnessing someone steal a car? Or drink driving?

Yes. None of my business. As a side note the police wouldn't do st anyway - "we don't have any spare resources, sir".

I'm going to take a wild guess and say that it's people who generally drive like inconsiderate cocks who get all precious about people reporting inconsiderate cockish driving.

I think there's a difference between dangerous driving and spirited driving. The angry looking lad in his late 20's with his girlfriend was driving like a tw@t - he undertook me as i had passed through some lights and was preparing to turn right, heading round a sweeping bend towards a junction where there is normally traffic and knowing the area, if you get through the junction i'd just passed, the following lights tend to be on red.

I may not have been turning right and could easily have been preparing to pull in and 'may' not have seen him and there would have been a nasty collision.

People who drive like this need to be reminded that in a built up area, in foggy conditions, it is fking stupid to undertake a car at probably 50mph round a blind bend.

I wish i had a dashcam but i don't although i do have his reg, his make of car and a good description of the driver smile

You might think there's a difference between spirited and dangerous drivng, but the law doesn't.

I'm sure Mavis in her Jazz has a different idea of what's "spirited" (as I'm sure you and I do as well).

I stand by my original comment, I wouldn't report them on the basis that he may have been driving like a tt as his Girlfriend had just gone into labour, trying to get hospital as his dad was on deaths' door etc. etc. (and the fact that to be honest I couldn't be arsed). I also wouldn't want someone to grass me up on what they felt was dangerous.

If you think it was sufficiently serious then you should report him. I doubt anything will happen but if someone else reports him on a different occasion then maybe something will be done.
