Gents,
Was wandering out of my, fairly quiet, cul de sac in Stroud earlier when 7 police vehicles arrived to visit a neighbour, quiet bloke who likes his rugby.
What would precipitate that kind of attendance?

5 marked, 2 unmarked one was I think armed. Oddly enough no real appearance of stress from any of them, seemed very relaxed. Popping in and out of house for an hour or so before they carted him off in cuffs.
Stroud only has two units and I saw one of them in town so they must have popped down from Gloucester.
Just wondered what would cause this kind of response.

Opinions from the pub
Drug dealer, doubt it as no visitors apparent, unless he is a big time dealer eg bulk.
Paedo, again you would expect to have seen kid/kids about.
My personal favourite, casual gf (he lives alone) called BiB and claimed gun.
Past caught up with him.

I'm willing to bet that he's selling steroids and was once photographed holding a shotgun.

The fact that cops are now single crewed most of the time (making them less effective and increasing risk) means more and more cars often turn up at nor incidents as the other cops like to make sure there colleague is backed up because being on your own is not a nice place to be when it all kicks off.
