I have another pontetntial issue for the small claims court and I noticed Money Claim Online doesn't allow you to raise cases against government departments such as local councils.

With this in mind, how does one go about raising a claim against a government department? I can't find any specific information online about this.

Are you sure? When I was in practice, we used to defend slipper and tripper claims brought against councils all the time.

The MCOL website states that you cannot claim against government organisations so I'm guessing the local council falls into that classification.

Councils aren't government organisations.
