Parking ticket UKPC

Have received a parking fine from UKPC which is not the council run company.
Everyone says to ignore the fone, increases, debt recovery etc.
Even money saving expert gave explanation of the two yellow sticker pouches.
Not going to pay but do not want this getting out of hand

I've ignored several from UKPC. Apart from 4 letters that raise & then drop the level of fine, nothing ever happened. They rely on frightening people into paying by mentioning court, debt collectors & damaging your credit rating as though it all happens in one go. The first step is court & it never goes there...

Unless based in Scotland the above poster is an idiot who may one day end up losing in court and paying several hundred pounds to the parking company.

Either pay it or if you feel it’s not reasonable Pepipoo, parking prankster, mse, will provide lots and lots of help.

As others have said:-

What they have sent you/stuck on your windscreen is an invoice made to look like a council parking ticket. It has NO authority whatsoever.
They're WHOLE business model relies on the 60%-70% of people that take the ticket as lawful and pay it. BIG mistake !!!
Just ignore everything that is sent to you. What they need to know is that you exist - and by replying to anything they send you, they then have it confirmed - by you.
As far as I am aware, there is zilch chance that they will follow it up. They can't be bothered, and there is always the added chance that they will lose.

They are just legal crooks.

It would certainly be time well spent for the OP to have a read around those sites before deciding what to do.

FWIW, simply binning any further correspondence from UKPC is unlikely to be the smartest move.

IKPC have started issuing court claims again after a long period of avoiding them. They are still relatively easy to defeat at POPLA - the signage at all of their permit sites are insufficient to form an enforceable contract, amongst many other defence points.

Have a read through the MSE forums though.
