Neighbour with unsilenced bike - 101 or Environmental Health
Discussion
There's a chavvy lad lives in the social housing bit at the bottom of our estate with a 125cc race rep bike. It's always been offensively loud but seemed recently to have got even louder. Having seen it parked up this is because it now has no silencer at all, just a 2" pipe that finishes at the start of where the can should be.
To make matters worse he's for ever popping in and out on the b
d thing, assumed to be couriering the sort of stuff you can carry in a back pocket if you know what I mean.
Whilst I'm not keek on having a dealer on the estate at least this one is delivering whereas the previous had his customers coming to the flats and pinching stuff as they passed to raise money. However, his stupidly noisey bike is a proper pain. Would that be something plod would be interested in or do I need to complain to the council for noise pollution?
Just to add, I'm not being oversensitive about loud vehicles, my Caterham isn't the quietest thing on the roads, but when this t
t rides past it drowns out the TV.

If it's got a reasonably regular pattern of usage and isn't reliant on blind luck to be there when it's running then they might deal with it - best thing is go in and ask your at your local police station in the first instance. If you go with the VRM and it indicates someone they're aware of as the registered keeper they may also be more interested....
