When an individual signs off a document but writes the word 'noted' next to their signature, can anyone tell me the legal effect if that ? Does it invalidate or place condition on the sign off please ?

Thanks.

Maybe if their name is Edward, they are informing the other party they don't want to be called "Ed"...?

Or maybe they were particularly proud of the 'd' which they had done and wanted to draw attention to it?
