Question for Current BiB re: UK Cop Humour
Discussion
I follow UK Cop Humour on twitter and today they posted a 'rant' about overtime and claiming pay.

Sorry but I can't C&P the text as it's a photo - if anyone can, please do.
I was surprised that so many of you don't know that you can claim for some basic stuff.
But I'm more surprised that, under certain circumstances you can claim for travel from home and a meal on your way home.
I have worked for free as I guess most have, but it's not an expected situation.
Is it just accepted that you (BiB) will do it and what do you think about it or can't you say?
Can I ask that the police hater stay away and start your own thread, TIA!
ETA Or is the twitter account just not worth following, if you know what I mean!

Nothing new in that post.
Officers have always worked half hour at the end of each shift for nothing as casual overtime- unless its pre-arranged overtime working in which case it'll be up for payment.
Its up to individuals to ensure duty sheets are properly marked up and a diary kept of all overtime worked and claims made.
