Changing car insurance after accident.
Discussion
So i was in a car accident around 3 weeks ago and liability of the accident is still being decided. Before they said it might be a 50-50 split, but after acquiring CCTV footage im pretty confident im 100% not at fault. However, my insurance is going to finish in two weeks and my renewal quote from my insurer is 400 pounds more than what i paid last year(2700). I checked another insurer and its 1600 if i wasn't at fault and a full recovery made or 2700 if the accident was my fault and recovery wasn't made.
Not sure if i can switch to a different insurer when a claim is still being settled and if i can switch what should i put down under whos fault the accident was? Kind of in a tricky situation.
Any help would be great!

you can change insurer normally you tell them when getting a quote that the claim is still on going and they can tell you how much of a rebate you will get if the claim becomes a non fault claim
but you should be a lot less than 100% certain it will go your way, no matter how much evidence the other person was at fault you have.

Yeah true, however i did give CCTV footage and details of eye witnesses who saw the accident.but you should be a lot less than 100% certain it will go your way, no matter how much evidence the other person was at fault you have.
