I live not too far from a nice wooded area. A few weeks ago there was a hell of a lot of noise that woke up our little one around 3 am. Come 6 am its light and I haven't slept.

Armed with cans of Redbull and frozen sausages I head out in my jammies to give whatever neighbour this is a real piece of my mind. Images of tearing up their sound system and crushing skulls with oversized speakers were going through my head.

After a few miles of walking around the only place the noise could be coming from is the woods. I walk back, get in the car and head out there.

Sure enough, the place is littered with drunks, beer cans and copious amounts of drug paraphernalia. I estimate around 50 people are there still going.

By this time my frozen sausages have thawed into a flaccid pork mess and I have drunk my Redbull. I head home with my tail between my legs. the noise finally stops around 08:30 am.

Roll on 3 am Sunday morning a few weeks later and it's exactly the same thing. But louder, more people and this time the coppers are on the scene. Closed roads, abandoned/crashed cars and mopeds all over the place. Litrely hordes of 20+ groups of people stumbling about the place.

Coppers have closed off roads and talking to them they are simply trying to stop more people from attending. they can't close it down as there are too many people. Coppers have estimated around 200 - 250 people this time.

Naturally, I would have taken on the 200+ crack heads myself but the coppers were there, I wanted my walls bangers for brekkie and didn't want to get blood stains on my power rangers jammies. Again, I headed home and didn't sleep the rest of the night.

I am told local facebork groups are awash with angry residents. It seems most people within a 7-mile radius heard it going on, we are around 1 mile away.

This time it also made the papers.

Now, police are saying they can't stop it. Intelligence gathered by me gives me a known setup time, I could visit the site every Saturday and phone up plod before they get the party started, But would they be interested or even able to do anything?

What can I do?

It's a lovely area. For context, the rave is held on some land owned by the local country house. I was at the house for the local fete on Saturday. they had a small classic car display, of which one was a TVR Griffin. How very high brow.

How are they getting power to the sound systems?

Genny or lead - if the latter can you trace the source and "break it"

Speak to the owner of the local country house would be the first point of call surely?

Buy a st load of stink bombs or putricant and disperse it throughout the area they congregate. They will think twice about hanging about there.

Maybe just put up with the fact that not everyone wants an early night every couple of months?

Or moan on pistonheads every time it happens. Not much else you can do other than complain to the authorities.

Poo - I sort of know the farmer, but its a large area of woods. Used by walkers, kids and bird watchers by day. Squirting them during the rave would probably end up with me getting an assault charge.

Power - Generators

Owners - If they weren't aware of it, they should be now. They don't consent but land is too vast for them to police. What would you suggest they do?

Stink bombs, poo and pee - A lot of the ravers are so off their heads they probably wouldn't notice. The area is also used by kids, dog walkers bird watchers etc...

The whole area was a tip in the moring. More pairs of soiled underwear strewn about the place than I have ever seen in my life. Was probably a good party!

Ahh... you're one of those. Why should thousands suffer, just so a couple hundred can have there way? If you want to rave to deafening music then there are plenty of places in the town centre that can accommodate.

1. its vandalism of a beautiful part of the world.
2. its organised by drug dealers.
3. It keeps me and my family, and hundreds of others up all night.

Say you saw one of them with a weapon.
Normal police are a waste of time but armed police will soon clear it.

Or set a fire.

Or get off your tits for free and have a dance.

In the local news feed for my area the police closed a rave in the Dartford area ,12 arrests , upto 500 attended in a new build wharehouse , lots of damage caused to the building .
The authorities can and will do something about it if enough pressure it brought to their senior officers.

Scatter baggies of sleeping pills. They'll think they got free drugs but they'll just have a nice, quiet sleep.

Already through of that. Chances of getting knifed before the mission is completed are high though.
