Hi all,

Another driver hit my vehicle in the UK whilst I was on holiday. I don't live in the UK any more and my vehicle is not from the UK.

We're now dealing with the third party's insurer (liability was admitted by them immediately). What I'm wondering is if we should use a loss adjuster or some form of claims management company or solicitor to assist with our claim. Being an overseas claimant complicates matters somewhat. My concern is that we might not be any better off with a UK based claim management company if they are not familiar with or experienced with overseas claims.

I've been to see a doctor and I am still suffering symptoms after the accident. Again, I'm not sure if I am better off approaching a UK based solicitor or one closer to home regarding that.

Any advice welcome.

Thanks in advance.

Shouldn't you inform your insurance company in you own country? They then deal with everything? That's how it works in the UK, the insurance companies deal with it all.

Talk to your insurer, especially as you might have medical needs.

If you're after injury compensation, be glad it happened in the Uk rather than Europe. You'll be quids in!
