I used a hospital car park managed by these cretins. Before leaving attempted to pay via card but the receipt said 'card void receipt'

Not convinced I'd paid I wrote to them on the day with a photo of the receipt (which I still have) asking how to pay for parking as the card reader was faulty, couple in front also had the same 'void receipt' and warned me.. Sure enough the fine arrives today asking for £80 reduced to £40 if I cough up quick. I've appealed on line and sent a copy of the receipt from the machine.

I know they have my letter as they wrote direct to me and not the lease company the cars registered to. Will I have a successful case or am I squids down??

Given you attempted to pay twice, to my inexpert eye, they would have no chance in court.

ParkingEye don't need to worry about little details like that.

Send letter again that needs signature on receipt asking how to pay for your parking. Copy in to the Chief Executive of the hospital too.

You'll be fine I'm sure

Not advisable to send stuff recorded delivery to these sorts of people as they know it's likely to be something nasty for them and refuse it. Just send things regular post with proof of postage. Often they'll only have PO boxes too.

Thanks all... I've also reported to watchdog via the website.... hopeful they see my attempts to pay as a valid reason not to persue..

Got home to a letter refusing my appeal. God knows how that turned round so quick! I've gone to the website mentioned above and popla to appeal. I have two pieces of evidence demonstrating I've tried to pay.. I'm fighting all the way with this!

You tried to pay on several occasions and all correspondence is refused except fr your appeal against a penalty charge. You seem to have a good case and Parking Eye sem to have been unreasonable.
