We were passed this afternoon at very high speed by three unmarked bikes with blue lights hidden in their headlights and rear lights. Police or something else?

They may have been on loan. From a manufacturer to a police training school

They could have been for VIP convoy escorting

They could have been Royal Military Police

They may have been for the Tour of Britain, which starts soon?

Police Scotland use unmarked bikes on the A82/83/84/85 to catch bikers who use these roads as their personal race track. There are signs warning about this at at least one location.

Anywhere near a army depot?

They do have regular convoys between Aldermaston and Royal Navy base in Scotland

A few years back I saw one of these, a Honda Blackbird if my memory serves me right.

Avon & Somerset Constabulary had blue unmarked bikes with concealed blue lights approximately 20 years ago.

East Yorks TrafPol have an unmarked ZZR1400 and I'm sure I've seen some unmarked bikes in North Yorks as well.

They were so carefully hidden that you saw them?
