What are my return rights?

I purchased a cooling fan for my car from ebay, when i installed it i noticed it was absolute pants, hardly moves any air what so ever, its replacing an 80watt fan which did a far better job at cooling, the fan is mounted the correct way etc, i want to return the item, only problem is iv'e used the fitting kit which consists of 4 plastic zip tie type things, just wondering what my rights are considering iv used the fitting kit?
