Bookface Privacy Legality
Discussion
I'm not looking to sue anyone as such but...
If my Facebook profile is 'private' which, according to my settings, means that you would have to be my 'friend' in order to see my posts, and then someone (a friend) screenshots a post - a conversation - and shows it to a person, or persons who a) are not my friends, and b) are not on Facebook, is there any privacy legality being breached here? I had a quick search on the subject and the results aren't clear.
Long and short of it is someone (a now former friend in every sense of the term) took a conversation I had within my circle of friends, and showed it to someone (the person we were talking about) who isn't on FB. Yeah, I'm OK hun, but it made my heart pump purple piss to become embroiled in such a blatant act of s
t stirring. The conversation was about an incident which is now heading to court so I can't say too much about that side of it. The FB conversation is not connected to the case (but the defendant may try and use it as part of their defence).
The ideal scenario would be to see someone like Terry Tate deal with the s
t stirring gob s
te ( "SSGS" ). For now, it would be useful to know if there is anything to give the SGSS a taste of her own medicine just on principle.

I love the way PHers are so keen to litigate.
Not without trying to resolve it first, harrumph. I suggested we try and reach an amicable conclusion and avoid legal steps, but I was basically shown a middle finger.Part of the defiance is based on the screenshots made available to them.
