Police wearing red raincoats?

[FlabbyMidgets]

On my way to work Sunday morning, there was a large group of police officers walking down the main road through my town. This was the remembrance parade route. They were looking in gutters and behind walls etc, I'm guessing to search for any suspicious items. They were all wearing red jackets, which I found strange. Specialist officers or maybe a deal on red jackets?

Some specialist roles wear the Keela type waterproof coats. Could this be what you saw?

[FlabbyMidgets]

They were a couple of hours behind bringing up the rear lol
