Help please:) is this a speed camera?
Discussion
sebcook98- BEFORE you get influenced by the SCP telling you that "you've been a murdering criminal by driving 2 MPH over the limit", yoneed to head over to sites where road safety is properly discussed with reference to speed and appropriate speed. Try SAFESPEED, AND IGNORE the poster on there known as GS ( WHO'S A CLONE /CLOWN of an old Cumbrian WEB SITE ).
I like the solar panel ones in 30 limits that show the speed in green if 30 or under but show the speed in red and flash if over 30
Personally I do not car what is or is not a recording camera as I am competent enough (as all drivers should be) not to go excessively over a speed limit

There's a couple near me like that. They indicate the speed in green if it's at or below the limit, but over the limit and they show the limit but in red. They stop reading out the actual speed above the limit. Unless you know how they work you might be fooled into believing you're at the limit rather than above. I suppose it's to deter local oiks from competing with each other to get the highest reading.Personally I do not car what is or is not a recording camera as I am competent enough (as all drivers should be) not to go excessively over a speed limit
I dislike the ones that show a number, they encourage people to 'play' with them rather than watch the surroundings. Around here they just flash the speed limit number when exceeding that limit. They seem to be set pretty close to the speed limit (or at max 1mph over). With my cruise control on my local one is triggered at an indicated 42 mph, but not at 41mph

You're lucky - there's some around here (Warks) that are triggered BELOW the limit. 27 and 38 in 30 & 40 respectively; they become utterly meaningless when they are illuminated all the time, IMO.littleredrooster said:
