Garage damaged car
Discussion
I would say if that’s the case then you’re bottom of the list for getting money back.
As above, have you asked them to repair it?
If not and for future use always use these guys for an Audi, even if it means travelling..... www.unit20.com
No connection other than being a customer several times.

Blimey.
Personally I would get a second quote from another Indy (to show you are being fair, ultimately if it ends up in small claims then the judge looks for every reasonable effort, etc) and then present it to them in person.
You may choose to share a copy of the video for their perusal, not as a threat but to show that you are being "open" and the damage many have been caused by an errant member of staff and you are giving them a chance...
Then a letter before action, 5 working days to respond.
Then small claims.
Note I am not a lawyer.

It's really strange. How and why would a garage do such a thing? Not saying they didn't, but it's just odd!

The damage is so severe its as if someone has been using a crow bar to damage the diff, drive shafts and prop shaft. As well as damage to the heat shields and the undercarriage.

The kind of cowboys that show a bunch of high end cars as their “references” and then have bank charges against them all? Which would imply that they are the garages projects and not customer cars.sharp910sh said:

Hope you get sorted OP.

OP, any chance the damage was caused during the driving, not the repairing? Just a thought. Not that it affects the current situation.
The damage is so severe its as if someone has been using a crow bar to damage the diff, drive shafts and prop shaft. As well as damage to the heat shields and the undercarriage. The diff is in an ally casting in a frame so a poorly manhandled crowbar would do flip all IMO.

I have pictures of the diff but do not want to show them before I go to court.
If you intend to use them as evidence in your claim you'll have to disclose them.See CPR 27 Case Management Directions paragraphs 2.2 & 2.3. plus Appendix B paragraph 1.
You can't ambush the defendant with them on the day of the hearing.
I'm surprised I'm the first person to call BS on this story. Both smashing up the car with a crow bar and speeding on test drives, and you have evidence of all of it... just seems unlikely to me. I may be wrong. Any chance you could post the footage and photos up for PH members to have a look at the damage? And the speeding?
