Speed awareness course Hampshire review
Discussion
Earlier this month I was caught doing 81mph eastbound on the M27 just after the Bursledon join. I'm not going to bother making excuses, speed limit is 70, I was doing 81 so not much room to complain. I chose the Chilworth Manor as there would plenty of parking and a restaurant for after
The two that presented are course really could not have been nicer, they were welcoming and didn't come across at all authoritative. They did however have a tough task on their hands, filling 4 whole hours with what was mostly drivel is hard work by any standards. Of course they made relevant points however this could easily have been condensed into 1.5 hours and I would suspect have stuck longer in people's minds. They appear intent on speed checking motorways in a much more aggressive way in the future, I can't help thinking it is revenue based judging by the volume caught on the safest roads in the UK however I doubt that's a statement they'd agree with. Only other side note was the complete lack of young people, out of 20 only 1 looked under 30 with most 40+.

Just moved from Bursledon back to the frozen north after 17 years down there. Looks like I timed it just right........
You're kidding yourself, I drive all over and oop North they love the cameras. In and around the cities the number of cameras is ridiculous/unbelievable/depressing in equal measure. The only place I can think of further South that is anywhere near as bad (actually worse) is Nottingham and that isn't really South anyway. It was tongue in cheek.........I'd very happily have stayed in the south, and have great memories of it and the roads surrounding the area I lived in.
People up here drive like they've forgotten why they set off in the first place, I'd forgotten how little purpose they display! No need for cameras at the speed they travel at! I suppose, because few of them are doing any real distance as a commute. 200 miles round trip a day wasn't unheard of for me a few years ago, won't miss that.
