PC 'tried to prevent daughter's driving prosecution'
Discussion
Interesting. Silly mistake by the PC may cost him his job. I bet he would be thankful to the Specials if it prevented his daughter from killing someone or being injured herself.

Have no sympathy for him as surely he knew that she was driving when he was on the phone to her?
Wonder what charges maybe laid against him?
That it's at a misconduct hearing suggests no criminal matters as they're nearly always undertaken after a charging decisions has been made / criminal matters are finalised. Wonder what charges maybe laid against him?
4 page PDF about Misconduct hearing next week. It's not obvious to me whether it will be held in public.

Edit. Point 16 on last page says it'll be held in public.

Really???? I would suggest ii's quite often the other way round, in a lot of cases a criminal investigation will often follow an internal disiplinary hearing. It has the potential to get much worse for him. I can't believe we won't hear more on this one. Attempting to PCOJ seems stonewall to me. and unfortunately being in the job makes it more likely than not.
They do like to make an example.

Unless it's a Special Case Hearing (which it doesn't appear to be), where they would go through the misconduct hearing prior to criminal matters, there will be no charges to come.
