moron parks in front of my (rented) garage door
Discussion
i rent a garage from the local council in one of their housing estates to keep the 993 tucked up away from the elemements etc....never have had any problems the last couple of years
that's until i went down there early on sunday to get it out for a Easter drive - some div has parked their Lexus hybrid people carrier/4x4 thing half a car's length back from the garage door. so I would be able reverse half out but that's it.
4 days later it's still there so my car is stuck inside until whoever owns it decides to move. Luckily we have a family car parked on the road nearby. Obvs I've left a note, which still remains in the windscreen wipers:
- council say they can't do anything except leave a 'sticker' saying they should move it
- local parking inspectors won't ticket it as it's not deemed a public road
hopefully the owner hasnt f*cked off on a 6 month sabatical or something. any ideas or just a bit of sympathy?! trust my luck just as this long winter is coming to a close & i can't wait to go for a blat

It’s a shame you have reported it. 4x4 or large car borrowed from someone else and a tow rope would sort that out no problem.
Unfortunately as you have reported it it would lead back to you.
Ring a tow truck company maybe and get them to shift it. Send th bill to the registered keeper.
Other than that I am out of suggestions. Although 4 flat tyres missing there valves would be a right pita for them upon there return.

Even if you shifted it like that now I can't see what you could be charged with, providing no damage was done.Unfortunately as you have reported it it would lead back to you.

Just a thought, but on your note is it best to mention you cant get your car into your garage (rather than get it out) as this way it doesn't indicate something of value in the garage - either to the car owner or someone who reads the note?
For the same reason, moving the Lexus is probably not a good idea...

Apply to DVLA for registered keeper info? Does the car have MOT, insurance or VED, if not report it? If the family car has some poke/torque, tow rope on the Lexus and drag it out the way? Hammer frozen sausages into the exhaust pipe, local wildlife will consume the vehicle trying to locate thawing, rotting meat?
Go knocking on doors at tea-time would be my first idea ... just the houses overlooking or backing onto the garages
If it's a fairly new car there's a posibility of it been stolen and left there cos it's "out of the way"
Have you checked if its taxed, MOTed & insured? ... any of those missing would sway me towards shifting it myself

There is one snag with any of these tactics- legal (trying to get it ticketed), illegal (puncturing tyres) or grey area (dragging it against its brakes). OP has P & J in that garage. Starting a feud with the (probably) local owner of the Lexus not a good idea. Perhaps time to look for another storage place?
I have considered a similar garage on council estate storage option after my Mustang was deliberately damaged while parked outside my house; I concluded that the risk of the garage being broken into made it pointless.
Perhaps I was wrong, but a nice car coming and going from the average council estate garage is going to be noticeable. Perhaps Lexus man (or woman, in this new and diverse world women just as likely to be t
ts) did this deliberately out of envy.

Paranoia is all well and good, but if someone is blocking the OP's 993 in its garage out of jealousy, are they really likely to do so with a brand new Lexus RX ??I have considered a similar garage on council estate storage option after my Mustang was deliberately damaged while parked outside my house; I concluded that the risk of the garage being broken into made it pointless.
