Selfish Idiot on a bike
Discussion
I live near a 40mph piece of dual carriage way. Regularly at night (after 2200) some idiot seems to enjoy riding his bike up and down it, and it is rediculously loud, to the point where it prevents my 7 year old kid and partner from being able to sleep.
Why he would want to ride up and down this bit of road I have no idea. There is a speed camera on one side and it’s a really boring, almost straight bit of road with a roundabout at each end. There are far better driving roads around where I live, and a proper NSL dual carriage way if he wanted speed.
Is it worth bothering the police with? Could they do anything? Or do we just have to lump it? By the way, we have triple glazing and it can still be heard. Heaven knows how the houses right next to the road cope.

I’d sit out there one evening and get his number plate before you report it. And yes I would report it, morons need destroying.
But will the police be interested/have resources to deal. We had problems with yoofs on bikes in local park, where dogs & owners were at risk with no interest, till one day we found a yoof with a young kid tearing across park. Instant response. But if after dark, sitting waiting with a flash camera might work, as boyo might look on flash as mobile Gatso and take fright. Chrisgr31 said:
Sussex Police have operation crackdown designed for exactly this thing so they would pay attention to it, guess other forces would to. Would be better to get the number plate
Wish they would nationwide, there are plenty round here that more than take the piss in terms of noise level. Are there traffic lights? Press the button, whilst he is waiting sneak round and put a banana in his tailpipe.
Or buy a kitten and spend 2 years training it to pick up a banana and insert into tailpipe then do as above, cats are known for there stealthiness.
Or as above train an owl, aka the silent killer.
Or get some earplugs.
Or typical pher MTFup response, work harder and move to a better part of the country away from chav motorcyclists.

Sounds like knee down practice!!
If it really is consistent and a proper pain, go get some vid of it. If he stops and asks what you are doing, tell him to p
s off and bother some other people or you're sending it to the police. They're not a fan of knee down at all, particularly if he is trying to do that specifically. Of course, if he is s
t at it, just tell him you'll post it to Youtube to show how crap he is.
Jokes aside, if it bothers you and he is being naughty speed wise etc, say something. If he is keeping to the limits and just out enjoying the evening on his bike, you may have to put up with it.
