Thanks, and after I make the claim through their insurer will I have to declare it as a no fault claim in future?

Yes, you will have to declare it as a non fault accident for the next 5 years. Some insurance companies will see you as a higher risk and adjust the premium accordingly despite not losing any NCD whereas others it will have no impact on the premium.
